If you are not a bot trying to act like you have hundreds of virtual friends and want to know about my exciting life touring the disco nightlife selling sno cones, please leave a message after the beep.

I honestly didn't expect this to go to the Friends list as I dated it a decade into the future. Oops!

I got added by someone who I don't know and then they began adding people from my friends list (including you).

And LJ is how I hang with mah peeps these days too ;)

I've been friended by a few people who are friends with friends, yet they have no (or locked) entries, no profile info, no identifiable pics in userpics...

This just gives you the basics on how to get them off of *your* profile page or set up how others can see your profile page.

This: http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=20 is how to ban a user.

So basically you will still show up on their friends page, which annoys me. I don't care if I show up on my friends pages as it is how other friends can find me, but random stranger claiming my friendship is beyond creepy.

Oh! And yes! With the arrival of nice weather approaching, we are starting to bike ride again. We'll coordinate offlist though :)

Hmm, doesn't help when I'm trying to figure out who they are and why they are watching my journal, or keep them from doing so, but if I was dead on worried, I'd just make the whole thing private instead of selected posts.

....ooh, thunder and lightning and heavy rain here just now! Supposedly we'll have bike weather by the weekend though. Offlist, coordination shall happen.

This page is to report suspected bot accounts, which often friend a large number of users seemingly at random and also post content copied from other locations in an attempt to appear as a normal user.

I had a bot in late February and reported it and LJ was right on it. Remarkably quick, actually. I was surprised.

If you ever find out about that banning an individual from friending you, let me know. It's not been possible before.

If you click on their user icon in their profile, it allows you to report them as a bot (which I did a couple of days ago). Will be trying your link next.
